Survival Is The Key, It Comes First!

When trapped in the middle of now were and faced with the aftermath of a natural disaster or a situation where one may have to survive after a war has ended. Things may be scarce as far as food items are concerned. Survival however is the key, one must understand that one may only be able to eat when one is out there alive.

Non Food Items

The core aim should be to plan a great escape and evacuate the affected area. A good idea would be to try somehow and get to the major rescue teams, as the damaged infrastructures may make things difficult for them to reach out to all within no time. At times it may take days or weeks for them to rescue all those that survived those hell situations.

There are some non-food items that are produced by relief suppliers and these items are basically intended to help one in such situations and enable him to get out of the complicated situations and danger zones. These products may be in the form of the following:

  • Pliers and other common tools.
  • Toiletries
  • Long lasting insecticidal nets
  • Solar lights
  • Portable and light weight tents for sheltering needs
  • Plastic containers to carry drinking water and
  • Some first aid stuff.

These items are not there randomly, they are there due to a planned approach. These items have been test for their reliability, compatibility and application. Above all they are very light in weight and easy to carry. The list may be further long however all these items are designed in such a passion that they may all fit in a small bag and may be utilized by one where one is left with no other option but to fight for survival.

The idea and concept of non food items have changed dramatically as they now are kept in stock by people who may not be facing any such threat, however due to the improved levels of awareness, they may go for such items using a pro-active approach and there is nothing wrong with that idea. Actually that is the right approach to go about things as one may not be able to get hands on such things at the eleventh hour. It is always better to be safe than sorry, therefore one must ensure that some of the core relief items mentioned above must be in stock all the time.
